Signed Alfred Dubucand (1828-1924) on the base and stamped 63 E.V. on the plinth; Dubucand studied under the master animalier Antione Louis Barye; he exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1867-1883; Dubucard was known for his sculptures of both domestic and wild animals. Excellent condition.
