The wood screen decorated with black lacquer; depicting both aristocratic and rural scenes; including pagodas, court figures, peasants, boats and butterflies in gold and red lacquer; the reverse with black lacquer and a simple scene of marsh grass and butterflies done in gilt; produced for trade with Europe. Very good condition.
