An oil on canvas of Fern Bedaux by Nicolas Becker (1925) signed and dated. The life size figure in tondo, rendered in the Japonesque style, a movement which lasted until the 1930's. Nicolas Becker, a Russian artist trained in France, exhibited in the National Society of Beaux Arts Fair between 1924 and 1932. Fern Bedaux, an American was married to Charles Bedaux who founded Methods, a work organization bearing his name and revolutionized factory work and the assembly line.
